Dear Bobby Stark Foundation,

I feel so fortunate to have been chosen as a recipient of the Bobby Stark Scholarship. Thank you so much for your generosity and contribution to my Chico State experience!
Please understand how much I mean it when I say how grateful I am. I feel truly blessed and I promise you that do not take for granted the help you've given me towards college.

So far my sophomore year has been pretty tough (which is why this e-mail has come so late) but I'm managing! Education is very important to me, and I'm so glad it's important to you as well.
I appreciate this more than I can say.

Thank you again for all you do in helping out college students like myself

Dear Bobby Stark Foundation,

I would like to take the time to thank you so much for awarding me a scholarship in honor of your son. I never got the pleasure of meeting him, but he sounded like a wonderful young man and I am truly honored to receive this scholarship.

I can't even begin to explain how helpful this will be and how appreciative I am! This could not come at a better time.

I am going to use the money to help further my education and start on my path to becoming a alcohol and drug abuse counselor.

Once again, thank you Bobby Stark Foundation for giving me the opportunity to go to school this semester worry free.

Sincerely,

Alicia Van Kirk

Dear Bobby Stark Foundation,

I am delighted to write you this letter of appreciation. I have received the acceptance call for Bobby Stark Foundation scholarship and am pleased to accept this scholarship. For the few months I have spent in Phoenix College I always wondered how I could afford my school fees. Sometimes people around me asked me why I am stressed. I replied respectfully, that was because I couldnt afford my school fees. Since I have received the acceptance call for Bobby Stark Foundation scholarship, however, I am extremely excited going back to school with happiness and determination. Also, I feel like the happiest man on the planet. It seems like to me that Bobby Stark Foundation makes me smile; also they have made the whole world smile too. Now I am able to further my education and ability to focus in class.

My name is Dauda Sheriff and Im 19 years old. I am a refugee student from Liberia, but I was born in Sierra Leone. I was at the age of five when I knew that we had a civil war in Sierra Leone. At 7:00 am on Friday morning, the rebels attacked the city where I lived with my family; I was walking with some friends to school. They attacked citizens, including children. I saw them cutting off peoples ears, hands, and feet. I will never forget what I saw; I know many other refugees who saw things like this. Unfortunately, Sierra Leone suffers from civil war violence leaving many people suffering greatly. I have been working diligently in my academics area of study since in high school. My education is the most important part of my life. I want to earn my degree because earning my education is the only way I can help myself and family financially. Here are my educational career goals. Since I was in Africa, I have dreamed to become a pediatrician to help children who are in need. I always want to help or assist people who are in need especially when it comes to illness. I appreciate your kindness and support.

Sincerely,

Dauda Sheriff

As my first year in college at UW-River Falls is coming to an end, I am reflecting on all of the wonderful things that I have had the chance to experience. I have had the opportunity to meet so many new people, and dive into academic courses that I would not have had the chance to do without the Bobby Stark Foundation scholarship that you awarded me last fall.

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to go to school and major in Elementary Education. Because of Bobbys scholarship, that dream has come true. Every day as I walk to class I carry Bobbys smile with me and pass it on to others around me, just as he did.

Thank you so much for awarding me Bobbys scholarship. Now I am able to make the world around me a little bit brighter and I could not have done so without your help.

Sincerely,

Lauren Janzow

Dear Mr and Mrs Stark

I would like to express my appreciation to the Bobby Stark Foundation board members. I was suprised and deeply honored to learn that I was selected as the recepient of one of the Bobby Stark Foundation Scholarships.

I plan to continue my education throughout the fall in hopes of tranferring to Barrett, the honors college at Arizona State University in the spring of 2009. I am determined to pursue my passion for commerce at the W.P. Carey School of Busniess.

As an international student receiving this schorarship greatly helps with my financial responsibilities. I appreciate your confidence and willingness to contribute to my education.

Thank you once again for investing in my future.
